Welcome to SLC @ Irvine

Irvine Center Director, Chantel Quach

Hello, my name is Chantel Quach, the center director in Irvine.

When I'm not running meetings or checking in on student progress, you can find me chatting and connecting with staff and parents.

My favorite part of this job is when kids have an AHA! moment where something clicked and things feel easier or clearer than before.

Our team here at the Irvine center is very supportive of each other. We always make sure that our staff, students, and parents felt seen, heard, and understood through this process.

We are big lovers of quality time and food, so you can always find us planning group outings or picking up boba, cookies, or donuts for each other!

I look forward to welcoming you and your child to SLC. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call our direct line at (949) 477-4133

Please attend our upcoming P.E.A.C.E meeting which is a monthly in-person parent support group.

Find support and understanding from others who know what challenges a new school year can bring to a family of a child with a learning difference.

My family is so blessed to have found the Stowell Learning Center.  My son has had trouble with anxiety since he was three years old.  We thought he would have anxiety problems his entire life but Stowell Learning Center was able to identify that he actually had an auditory processing deficit of 3 years.  He was exhibiting anxiety because his auditory processing system was so far behind.  He has been at Stowell for 6 months and his auditory skills have improved 3 years and he is no longer behind!!  His anxiety has almost gone away!  We now have a confident, happy child!  Thank you Jill Stowell, Lauren, Irene and Kristina!

Stowell Learning Center is amazing. Both of my sons have struggled with reading/english and poor performance at school. They have both been diagnosed with ADHD but medicine really didn't help the results at school. We have been with Stowell for almost 4 months and we see a marked improvement in awareness, self-confidence, attention to detail and ultimately performance. We are so grateful to have found them.

Love this place. Totally helping my son overcome his learning disabilities. He can focus better and longer after only 4 months

Its been four years since we finished at Stowell. Looking back id say it helped while he was there a great deal. Night and day. But Long term it hasn't helped nearly as much as I'd hoped. I'm sure due to many outside factors. (They would say partly due to his screen time and gaming) If I could do it all over again I'd have my son take a professional psych ed test first then go from there. Turns out my son has suffered from depression from a young age. We should have concentrated on that first.
